There are several changes taking place at New York-New York and Luxor Hotel & Casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. Photos are posted below.

Starting August 14, all hotel rooms at New York-New York will be renovated. The remodeling will be done in sections to minimize any construction noise issues. This is very good news, because the last major room renovation took place in 2014.

Also, at New York-New York, they are adding a food court on the second floor near the Pour 24 bar and Coyote Ugly. It will include a Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop, Wing Zone and a remodeled New York Pizzeria. The Wing Zone chain was purchased by Capriotti’s in 2021.

Luxor is adding Discovering King Tut’s Tomb – The Experience. It is being built on the second floor atrium next to Titanic- The Artifact Exhibition. King Tut’s tomb was found on November 4, 1922. This new attraction is scheduled to open August 30, 2022. Official Site

Also at Luxor, the former Rice & Co. Asian restaurant space has removed all signs. It has not reopened since the pandemic. Luxor has added new signs at the restaurant that say “Something Bold is Coming… Just Wait and See.”
