Wynn Resort & Casino is one of the nicest resorts in Las Vegas. It is located on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip. It is connected to Encore, a sister property. This resort opened on April 25, 2005 and it has 2,716 rooms and suites.

Wynn Resort & Casino replaced the Desert Inn that was open from April 24, 1950 to August 28, 2000. On October 23, 2001 the Desert Inn was imploded to make room for the new Wynn Resort.

The Wynn Resort & Casino has earned the AAA five diamond, Mobil five-star, Forbes five-star, Michelin five-star, and other top ratings over the years. This is a true luxury resort. The Wynn 18 hole golf course closed in late 2017 and a new redesigned course reopened on October 11, 2019.

It has a very nice casino with all the popular table games including, Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Pai Gow Poker, Baccarat and more. They have a very nice Race & Sport Book and both new and older slot machines. You can gamble poolside and in their High Limit Salons. The closest Poker Room is at the Encore Resort & Casino. Tip: Be sure to sign up for the Wynn Resorts Card while gaming in the casino.

The Wynn has several bars and lounges, including Aft Cocktail Deck, Overlook Lounge, Bar Parasol, B Bar, Tower Suite Bar, Sports Book Bar and more. They also feature the very popular XS nightclub.

On November 7, 2022 the show “Awakening” premiered in the totally remodeled 360-degree Awakening Theater.

The Wynn Plaza Shops opened on November 9, 2018. Other shopping options include the Wynn Esplanade and the Encore Esplanade.

Tip: The all-new Lake of Dreams show takes place each night every 30 minutes starting at dusk until 11:30pm. Lake of Dreams is a multimedia experience that blends colorful puppetry, an immersive soundtrack and state-of-the-art sound and lighting to create an unforgettable spectacle on Wynn’s signature water attraction. Fun Fact: The name of the resort was changed from “Le Rêve” to “Wynn Las Vegas” on June 23, 2003. 

Tip: There is an overhead walkway from the Wynn to the Fashion Show Las Vegas (mall) or the Palazzo Resort and The Grand Canal Shoppes.
