The Palazzo Resort & Casino is on the Las Vegas Strip and opened in December 2007. It has an Italian Renaissance theme and was built on 14-acres that had been previously occupied by numerous motels dating as far back as 1949.

Both The Palazzo and The Venetian are all-suite properties with a combined 7,167 luxurious, Italian-inspired suites across three hotel towers. Standard suites measure 650-750 square-feet and are nearly double the size of the average Las Vegas hotel room.

The Palazzo and The Venetian are affiliated with World of Hyatt and rank as the second largest hotel in the world based on number of rooms.

The Palazzo is connected with indoor walkways to the Grand Canal Shoppes, Venetian Resort & Casino, The Venetian Convention & Expo Center and Sphere.

They have one of the nicest pool complexes in Las Vegas that spans two acres with several pools open year-round. Canyon Ranch Spa + Fitness is a Forbes Travel Guide Four Star Spa and is very popular. They have three fitness centers, with the south tower fitness center open 24/7.

They also have several Wedding Chapels, FedEx Office business center, Hertz car rental and many stores.

On February 23, 2022, Apollo Global Management Inc. became the operator of The Palazzo, Venetian and The Venetian Convention & Expo Center.

The Venetian and Palazzo have over 225,000-square-feet of gaming space with over 1,000 of the latest slot and video poker machines. There are over 225 games in the pits, including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Caribbean Stud Poker, Crazy 4 Poker, Let It Ride Stud Poker, and more.

There are several High Limit gaming salons that offer a comfortable retreat from the main casino floors. The Venetian has a very nice Yahoo Sportsbook powered by William Hill and in February 2026 The Palazzo added a Yahoo Sportsbook betting counter.

In August 2024, they added a 50-table Poker Room that is the largest in Las Vegas. Their loyalty program is Venetian Rewards.

Madame Tussauds Wax Museum opened in 1999, becoming the first Madame Tussauds venue to open in the United States. You can take a Gondola Ride inside the Grand Canal Shoppes or outside in the front of The Venetian casino. They also have PanIQ Escape Room & Lounge.

Sphere is a sphere-shaped music and entertainment arena, near the Las Vegas Strip and east of the Venetian Resort. The 18,600-seat auditorium opened on September 29, 2023, with U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere. It is the largest spherical building in the world at 875,000-square-feet.

For nightlife there is the very popular TAO Nightclub that is open Thursday to Saturday. TAO Beach Dayclub is a 47,000-square-foot Asian-inspired tropical oasis that is open March to September.

On November 3, 2023, Voltaire opened with residency shows and more. They also have The Summit Showroom (720 seats), The Venetian Theatre (1,800 seats) and The Palazzo Theatre (607 seats) and is home to magician Shin Lim and other entertainers throughout the year.

The 875,000-square-foot, Grand Canal Shoppes is an upscale shopping mall with over 200 stores and restaurants. It has a recreation of St. Mark’s Square and much more.

The Venetian Convention & Expo Center features over 2.25 million square-feet of flexible meeting and exhibition space, making it one of the largest venues in the city.

Fun Fact: The Palazzo is 50 stories tall. There is no 4th, 13th, or 14th floors. It is the third tallest building in Nevada at 642 feet. The STRAT is considered a tower. The tallest building is Fontainebleau, followed by Resorts World.

Fun Fact 2: Filming for the 2007 film “Oceans Thirteen” took place at the Palazzo’s hotel tower during construction, filling in as the film’s fictional Bank resort.
