Palms Casino Resort is a hotel and casino that caters to Las Vegas “locals” and tourists alike. It was built in 2001 and is located across Flamingo Road from the Gold Coast Hotel & Casino and Rio Hotel & Casino. It is 1.5 miles from the center of the Las Vegas Strip and 3.7 miles from Harry Reid International Airport.

The entire resort has received many expansions and renovations over the years, with the latest taking place in 2022. It is owned and operated by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.

The Palms features 703 rooms and suites in two hotel towers, Ivory and Fantasy. Standard rooms are oversized, measuring 440-510 square feet. 

There are over a dozen types of “Experiential Suites,” which offer unique, themed, and amenity-packed stays, including the Empathy Suite that measures 9,000 square feet, Hardwood Suite with a basketball court, Kingpin Suite with bowling lanes and Cinema Suite for movie lovers.

Palms Casino Resort is connected by indoor walkway to its sister property Palms Place, which is a 47-story condo-hotel with 599 units.

The Palms has two pools (open seasonally) set on a two level 50,000 square-foot deck with 39 cabanas and DJs spinning music Friday to Sunday.

They also have The Spa at Palms that is open daily and measures 17,000 square-feet on three levels, fitness center, FedEx Office business center, Speakeasy Barbershop and three stores.

The Palms has 95,000 square-feet of gaming space with 1,700 slot, keno and video poker machines. The 50-table casino pit features all the popular table games, including Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Three Card Poker and more. Tip: They offer $5 Blackjack and Craps 24/7, 3:2 Blackjack and 10X odds on Craps.

The High Limit room is set in a private gaming environment with six high limit tables and many slots with a private bar. The Sports Book is run by William Hill and features a giant 36’x9’ video wall. Club Serrano is their loyalty program.

Brendon Theatres is a 14 screen movieplex with IMAX movies shown on a 70-foot-tall screen.

Concerts are held throughout the year in the Pearl Concert Theater that seats 2,500 guests.

Fun Fact: Palms Casino Resort was the main setting for the 2002 MTV reality television show The Real World: Las Vegas. It was the first season of the show where all the castmates were at least 21 years of age.

Fun Fact 2: In 2003, the Palms hosted a 50th anniversary celebration for Playboy magazine and renamed a nearby street Hugh Hefner Drive. From 2006-2012 they operated a Playboy Club at the resort. 

They have over 170,000 square-feet of flexible meeting, convention and event space.
