Harrah’s Las Vegas Hotel & Casino Photos, Tips and Details:

Harrah’s Hotel & Casino is located on the “center” of the Las Vegas Strip. It opened in 1973 as the Holiday Casino that had a Riverboat theme and was the largest Holiday Inn in the world. In 1992, the Hotel Casino was re-branded Harrah’s Las Vegas and they changed to a Mardi Gras and Carnival theme.

They have 2,542 rooms and suites in two towers. The Mountain Tower was remodeled in 2019. The Valley Tower was remodeled in 2017. There is The Spa at Harrah’s, salon, fitness center, several stores and a heated pool. Harrah’s Hotel & Casino is managed by Caesars Entertainment and they use the Caesars Rewards players card.

Harrah’s has 86,664 square-feet of casino space with all the popular games in the pit, including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Three Card Poker, Let It Ride, Pai Gow Poker and more. They have some of the latest slot and video poker machines and some older machines, as well. The casino has a nice Caesars Race & Sportsbook that was remodeled in 2022.

  • Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay (American)
  • Fulton Street Food Hall, with many dining options including noodle bar, sushi, pizza, sandwiches, salad, ice cream, and more. Fulton Hall also has a full bar.
  • Pizza Cake by Buddy Valastro (Italian/Dessert)
  • Ramsay’s Kitchen (Steaks & Chops)
  • Ruth’s Chris Steak House (Steaks & Chops)
  • Starbucks (American)
  • Walk-On’s Sports Bixtreaux (American)

There are many bars at Harrah’s Hotel & Casino, including The Lounge that opened in 2023, Signature Bar, Showroom Bar, Sports Bar, Fulton Street Bar, Lobby Bar, Bill’s Bar, Splash Fresca Bar and The Piano Bar that features dueling pianos nightly and other acts.

“Big Elvis”

Pete “Big Elvis” Vallee performs in The Piano Bar Mon, Wed, Fri at 2, 3:30 and 5pm. Tip: Be sure to stop in to watch “Big Elvis”, he puts on a great free show. Be sure to purchase a drink or two to keep this great show free. LINK to “Big Elvis” at Harrah’s over the years.

Carnaval Court (outside) has live DJ’s and Bands from noon to 3am nightly. This is a very popular place for nightlife and there is no cover charge.

The Harrah’s Showroom seats 500 people and they feature many popular shows, including Donny Osmond. The Harrah’s Cabaret has several shows, including X Country and Menopause The Musical.

FUN FACT: Winnie and Buck, the couple immortalized in the sculpture at Harrah’s are a real couple that came to Las Vegas to hit it big…….and did! (This was removed in January 2023. Photo posted below).

Harrah’s Las Vegas has the notoriety of having hosted the final concert performance from stand-up comedian Ralphie May, in October 2017.
