OYO Hotel & Casino opened in 1973 as a Howard Johnson Hotel. It has gone through many name changes. It was the San Remo from 1989 until 2006 when it became Hooters Casino Hotel. Hooters was rebranded OYO Hotel & Casino on September 16, 2019.

It is located across the street from the MGM Grand on Tropicana Avenue. It is a half a block from the “four corners” of the Las Vegas Strip. It is owned by OYO Hotels & Homes, and the casino is operated by Paragon Gaming.

OYO’s 696 rooms and casino were remodeled in 2017. It is a budget hotel with some of the lowest limits in Las Vegas on table games in the casino.

They have a 30,000-square-foot gaming floor with over 200 slot and video poker machines. The casino pit features Blackjack, Craps and Roulette. They have a nice William Hill Sports Book and they use the OYO Rewards loyalty card. TIP: They have $1 Blackjack 24/7 and $5 Blackjack tables pay 3-2.
