OYO Hotel & Casino opened in 1973 as a Howard Johnson Hotel. It has gone through many name changes. It was the San Remo from 1989 until 2006 when it became Hooters Casino Hotel. Hooters was rebranded OYO Hotel & Casino on September 16, 2019.
It is located across the street from the MGM Grand on Tropicana Avenue. It is a half a block from the “four corners” of the Las Vegas Strip. It is owned by OYO Hotels & Homes, and the casino is operated by Paragon Gaming.
The 696 rooms and suites are in two hotel towers. Standard rooms measure 350-370 square-feet and suites measure up to 1,600 square-feet. All rooms were last remodeled in 2019.
They have two pools, 24/7 fitness center, Enterprise car rental and gift shop.
The casino has 30,000 square-feet of gaming space with over 200 slot and video poker machines. The 15-table casino pit features Blackjack, Roulette and Craps. TIP: They have $1 Blackjack 24/7 and $5 Blackjack tables pay 3-2.
They have a nice William Hill Sports Book and they use the OYO Rewards loyalty card.

Fun Fact: In 2006, while this property was Hooters Casino, former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino opened a restaurant called Dan Marino’s Fine Food and Spirits to mixed reviews. It closed in 2009.
