The STRAT Hotel, Casino and Tower was formerly called the Stratosphere Hotel, Casino and Tower. It is located on the far north end of the Las Vegas Strip. Many people do not consider it “on” the strip, but it is close. It is actually in Downtown Las Vegas. It was formerly Bob Stupak’s Vegas World Casino which then became the Stratosphere in 1996. It was rebranded The STRAT in late 2018.

It has 2,427 rooms and suites and is part of the Best Western Premier Collection. Many rooms received a complete renovation in 2019-2020. The newly remodeled rooms include a mini refrigerator, in-room safe and coffee maker. They have a brand new fitness center that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Swim & Social pool was introduced in 2023 and is located on the 8th floor. It features a full bar, restaurant, weekend DJs, poolside games, and stunning views. WET24 Pool & Bar is an adult pool experience (21+) featuring live DJ sets, panoramic skyline views and breathtaking mountain scenery 25 stories above the Las Vegas Strip. They have two wedding chapels that are located on SkyPod Level 103 for traditional ceremonies with a view.

The 80,000 square-foot casino at the STRAT has many of the latest slot machines and a large William Hill Sports Book that was fully remodeled in March 2019. They also have all the latest table games, including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Pai Gow Poker, Baccarat and more. They use the TRUE Rewards players card.

Top of the World Restaurant (American) Tip: This is a very nice restaurant to go on special occasions with incredible views of the Las Vegas Valley.

There are several bars and lounges, including View Lounge, Remix Lounge with live bands Friday and Saturday, McCall’s Whisky Bar, Fat Tuesday, 108 Drinks, and more. Tip: 108 Drinks has the Sky High Happy Hour 3pm to 7pm Monday to Thursday with 2 for 1 cocktails and fantastic views of the Las Vegas Valley.

Fun Fact: The tower is 1,149 feet tall – the tallest freestanding observation tower in the USA.

There are thrill rides and an observation deck on the top of the tower. The thrill rides are Big Shot and X-Scream. Sky Jump is a thrill if you want to plunge 829-feet from the tower.

Atomic Golf, is a premier golf entertainment destination that opened March 22, 2023. It offers an immersive, technology-enhanced experience through game play and entertainment. It spans nearly seven-acres, rises four stories and hosts 103 separate hitting bays. It also includes, six bars, dining, meeting space, and a 12,000-square-foot Astrocade.

The STRAT Theater seats 640 guests and the shows include Terry Fator, iLuminate and ROUGE – The Sexiest Show in Vegas! Other entertainment options include the L.A. Comedy Club of Las Vegas that has been serving tourists and locals since 2007. Shows are performed three times a night in the 270-seat Dragon Room, that opened in February 2022.
