The Suncoast Hotel & Casino is in Downtown Summerlin, an upscale suburb in Las Vegas. They cater to Las Vegas “locals”. It is located approximately 12 miles from the north end of the Las Vegas Strip. This resort opened in 2000 and it has 432 hotel rooms and suites. The theme is Mediterranean and it is owned by Boyd Gaming.

They have a nice Resort Pool, The Spa at Suncoast, Fitness Center, Gift Shop & Liquor Store and a 25,000-square-foot convention, banquet and meeting complex.

The casino has over 80,000 square-feet of gaming space. They feature over 1,700 of the latest slot and video poker machines. The casino pit features Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Baccarat, Face-Up Pai Gow, Three Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and more.

They also have the 600-seat Suncoast Bingo Center (with sessions every odd hour from 11am to 9pm daily) and a very nice 150-seat Race & Sports Book. The casino also has non-smoking and high-limit areas. Their loyalty program is Boyd Rewards.

Fun Fact: The original name of the Suncoast was going to be Sundance, but they had to change the name due to a copyright issue with the Sundance Film Festival.
