Majordōmo Meat & Fish to open at the Palazzo Resort & Casino
David Chang, the chef behind Momofuku at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas along with the Netflix series “Ugly Delicious” and more than a dozen restaurants spanning from New York to Los Angeles, plans to open a second restaurant in Las Vegas – Majordōmo Meat & Fish. It is scheduled to open December 14th. The Palazzo Resort & Casino is owned by the Las Vegas Sands Corp.

Flamingo Food Hall coming to the Las Vegas Strip & more
As previously reported on VegasChanges.com, the Flamingo Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip is currently building Steaks & Alibis in the former Center Cut Steakhouse space that closed in late September. It is scheduled to open in early 2020.
The former Tropical Breeze Cafe that closed over four years ago at the Flamingo will soon be demolished to make way for the resort’s second large project. Tentatively named the Flamingo Food Hall. The tenants or an opening date have not been released.
The Flamingo still has a 24-hour food court with Johnny Rockets, Bonanno’s Pizzeria, Pan Asian Express, and L.A. Subs & Salads. The Flamingo Resort & Casino is owned by Caesars Entertainment.

RE:MATCH Bar at the Linq reopens with gaming machines
RE:MATCH Bar at the Linq Hotel & Casino reopened this week with gaming machines added at the bar. RE:Match Bar originally opened in May 2019 with great views of the Las Vegas Strip. The Linq Hotel & Casino is owned by Caesars Entertainment.

Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville Restaurant New Patio Finished
Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville Restaurant at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip has finished building a new patio that faces the Linq Promenade. This project has taken several months to complete. The Flamingo is owned by Caesars Entertainment.

Chick-fil-A at Planet Hollywood and Golden Nugget Updates
Chick-fil-A continues construction at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. It is almost ready to open. The Chick-fil-A at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas opened on Monday December 2nd.
Why are these locations unique? There are other Chick-fil-A locations that have opened in Nevada over the past two years, but these locations are unique because they are located in casinos.
Many of the company’s values are influenced by the religious beliefs of its late founder, S. Truett Cathy, a devout Southern Baptist, who passed away in 2014. He would have never approved of a Chick-fil-A to be built in a casino resort or even in the State of Nevada.
The Planet Hollywood location is being built in the space that formally had a Pink’s Hot Dogs restaurant. Pink’s Hot Dogs closed in May 2018 and the space has remained empty since. Caesars Entertainment, owner of Planet Hollywood, submitted building plans for a $750,000 Chick-fil-A to be built. Construction started the third week of April and it is scheduled to open in late 2019.
Slogan: “We Didn’t Invent the Chicken, Just the Chicken Sandwich,” refers to their flagship menu item, the Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich. All Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed for business on Sundays, as well as on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. These new locations will also be closed on those days. The Golden Nugget location is in the Carson Tower. The Golden Nugget is owned by Landry’s Inc.

“I Love Sugar” in the Linq Promenade Ready to open
Construction of I Love Sugar in the Linq Promenade on the Las Vegas Strip has been taking place for over a year and they have removed the construction walls. It will span 14,000 square feet and is being billed by Caesars Entertainment as the largest candy experience in the world. There is a bar on the second floor. It should open this week.

Leo the MGM Grand Lobby Lion display for the NFR Rodeo
Leo the MGM Grand Lobby Lion was wearing a giant cowboy hat again this year for the National Finals Rodeo. The 10-day NFR is the Superbowl of rodeo and ends on Saturday. New Pedestrian Bridge over Las Vegas Strip Update
Construction continues on the new pedestrian bridge over the Las Vegas Strip from Park MGM to the Hard Rock Cafe. This bridge is needed because of the added foot traffic from T-Mobile Arena, Park Theater and nearby casinos.
The bridge is now expected to open in early 2020 because of utility conflicts tied to the escalators. Construction began in November 2018 and originally was expected to finish in July. The next pedestrian bridge is slated to to connect the area in front of Bellagio to the area leading to Planet Hollywood Resort.
Additional plans call for bridges to stretch across Las Vegas Boulevard between Caesars Palace and the Linq, and at Resorts World Las Vegas, but those projects don’t have timelines. In 2020, they plan construction on four more pedestrian bridges crossing Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, on the far north end of the Strip.
Target being built on the Las Vegas Strip Update
Construction continues on the first Target Department Store being built on the Las Vegas Strip. It is located directly across from Park MGM. This project is moving fast and should open in late 2020. This will be a gold mine.

Jason Aldean’s first concerts in Las Vegas since the tragedy
Jason Aldean performed at the Park Theater December 6-8. This was his first return to perform a complete concert since the Route 91 Harvest Festival tragedy on October 1, 2017 in Las Vegas. Park MGM is owned by MGM Resorts International. The show was great.
