The Dorsey Cocktail Bar at The Venetian Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip closed on June 25. The space has been gutted with construction curtains in place. “Behind the curtain” construction photos are posted below.

The new remodeled space will reopen later this summer, as Juliet Cocktail Room. It will feature dueling pianos on weekends. The 4,500-square-foot Dorsey opened in 2016.

81/82 Group partnered with Apollo Global Management (operator of the Venetian and Palazzo) in March to take over The Dorsey at The Venetian, and Rosina and Electra Cocktail Club at the Palazzo. Changes to the Palazzo venues will be taking place at a later date.

From The Venetian: Opening in late summer, Juliet Cocktail Room will combine mixology with the thrill of live entertainment. The result is an experience that is both glamorous and exciting.

This new cocktail destination is inspired by the Juliet Rose, one of the most beautiful, highly coveted, and expensive roses in the world. Like the rose, Juliet Cocktail Room will be a symbol of love, passion, and beauty. It is sure to impress and delight anyone who steps inside. The room promises a rich and refined ambiance with Victorian-inspired décor. Dark, sexy, and intimate, entering Juliet feels like stepping into a bygone era of indulgence. Expert mixologists create one-of-a-kind cocktails featuring unique and innovative flavors. Dueling pianists play a variety of genres and eras on baby grand pianos. From Elton John to The Rolling Stones, Biggie to Madonna, and everything in between, the soundtrack is never the same.
