Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse at the Flamingo to open in July
Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip is ready to open in July. The Flamingo is owned by Caesars Entertainment.
Wynn Buffet having a test run before reopening Thursday
The first buffet on the Las Vegas Strip gets ready to reopen with almost 90 all-you-can-eat dishes served at the table instead of the buffet line. The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas will reopen Thursday, June 18, with unlimited servings, bringing the buffet to the table.
Diners can order from a menu, with servers bringing dishes to the table with the option to reorder as many times as desired within a two-hour period. On Monday evening they were having a test run with servers serving employees of the Wynn and Encore resorts.
The buffet will be open Sunday from 8am to 9pm, Monday through Thursday from 11:30am to 9pm, Friday from 11:30am to 9:30pm, and Saturday from 8am to 9:30pm. Weekday brunch is priced at $36.99 and dinner is priced at $59.99. Weekend brunch is priced at $48.99 and weekend dinner is priced at $65.99.
Caesars Palace Bacchanal Buffet Remodel Continues
Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip continues on a major remodel of the very popular Bacchanal Buffet.
Casino Royale Removes Table Games
Casino Royale on the Las Vegas Strip has removed their casino pit and replaced the space with slot machines. The pit used to feature Blackjack, Craps and Roulette. The soonest the pit will return would be September.
Sword & Stone being built at Excalibur
At the main entrance to the Excalibur Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip they are building a new bar. It will be called Sword & Stone. It is much larger than the bar it replaced. It will also serve Ice Cream. The Excalibur is owned by MGM Resorts International.
Excalibur Food Court Remodel Update
The Excalibur Hotel & Casino has one of the largest food courts on the Las Vegas Strip with over 15 different choices. It is currently in the process of receiving a full makeover.
Flavors Buffet to shrink in size & New Restaurant coming to Harrah’s
Like the other hotels and casinos, Flavors the Buffet at Harrah’s Las Vegas has closed. It has been boarded up and crews are reducing its size. With the additional space they will add an Italian Restaurant. Harrah’s is managed by Caesars Entertainment.
Venetian & Palazzo Marquees Being Upgraded
The marquees at both the Venetian and Palazzo Resorts are being upgraded. Scaffolding remains in place on the marquees. Both resorts are owned by the Las Vegas Sands Corp.
Resorts World Las Vegas Construction Update
Resorts World is a casino and resort currently under construction on the Las Vegas Strip across the street from the Encore Resort. It is owned and operated by the Genting Group, based in Malaysia. It is on the former Stardust Hotel and Casino site that was owned by Boyd Gaming. Boyd was going to build Echelon Place, but they stopped construction in 2008, due to the economic downturn.
Boyd sold the site to the Genting Group in 2013 for $350 Million. Resorts World Las Vegas will cost $4.3 Billion to build. It will have two hotel towers, with 3,500 rooms and suites, seven pools, and over 110,000 square feet of gaming space. The theme will be a luxury experience “with Asian-inspired touches”. Circa Resort & Casino Construction Update
Circa Resort & Casino is currently under construction in Downtown Las Vegas. This new resort will have 777 rooms and suites. It is located in the space that was formally occupied by the Las Vegas Club, Glitter Gulch and Mermaids Casino. It is on the corner of Fremont Street and Main Street.
Circa Resort & Casino will feature a two-story casino, spa, several restaurants and the longest bar on Fremont Street. It will be a 469 foot tower that will have approx. 44 floors. This will be the first hotel and casino in Downtown Las Vegas built from the ground up since the Sundance Hotel in 1980, that became the Fitzgeralds Hotel & Casino and is now The D Las Vegas.
