Leo the MGM Grand Lion Welcomes Eagles Fans with “Hotel California”
Leo the MGM Grand Lobby Lion was welcoming Eagles fans with a “Hotel California” theme this week. This will be the Eagles first live performance ever of their iconic album Hotel California played in its entirety plus the greatest hits set. Dates are September 27th – 28th and October 5th at MGM Grand Garden Arena. The MGM Grand is owned by MGM Resorts International.

The Plaza Casino Remodeling William Hill Race & Sports Book
The construction walls are up at the Plaza Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas for a remodel of the William Hill Race & Sports Book. The timing seems off with the Football season just starting. The Plaza is owned by the Tamares Group, based in London, England.

Rick Harrison Collection from “Pawn Stars” Opens Store at the Venetian
The Rick Harrison Collection store has opened in the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Rick Harrison is the owner of the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Downtown Las Vegas and appears on the very popular “Pawn Stars” TV-show on HISTORY. It is like a museum with some great artwork and other unique items. The Venetian Resort & Casino is owned by the Las Vegas Sands Corporation.

Buddy Valastroto from “Cake Boss” to open Pizzacake at Harrah’s
Chef Buddy Valastro will open Pizzacake at Harrah’s Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. It will be in the space that was formally Gifts Plus, between the Piano Bar and Poker Room. It will be a fast-casual restaurant that will feature freshly made pizza and dessert selections, similar to the existing menus at Valastro’s Carlo’s Bake Shop and Buddy V’s Ristorante at the Venetian Resort & Casino. No opening date has been set, but it should open in early 2020. Harrah’s is owned by Caesars Entertainment.

sixth + mill ristorante Now Open at the Venetian
sixth + mill ristorante, pizzeria & bar has opened in the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. This new neighborhood pizzeria features hard durum wheat pastas, and a selection of shared small plates and dishes inspired by Chef Angelo’s childhood memories. Sommelier Francine Diamond-Ferdinandi presents a wine and beer list along with full bar to pair with the approachable menu. Open 11am to 11pm daily. The Venetian Resort & Casino is owned by the Las Vegas Sands Corporation.

O’Sheas Casino at the Linq 30th Anniversary
The original O’Sheas Casino opened in September 1989. This Irish-themed casino and bar was built by Hilton Corporation 30 years ago. The new O’Sheas Casino opened on December 27, 2013 and it is located in the Linq Promenade. It is owned by Caesars Entertainment. Happy 30th Birthday O’Sheas!

I Love Sugar at the Linq Promenade Construction Update
Construction continues at a fast pace on I Love Sugar at the Linq Promenade on the Las Vegas Strip. This is a very large location. Many people have requested current photos of this project. The Linq Hotel & Casino is owned by Caesars Entertainment.

Giant Indoor Jungle Gym Coming to the Las Vegas Strip
They are currently building a giant indoor Jungle Gym, or something similar in the shops next to the Planet Hollywood Resort and Miracle Mile Shops on the Las Vegas Strip. This is in the building on the second floor that has a Twin Peaks Sports Bar & Restaurant and Rainforest Cafe. The name was not available, but further details are posted below.

The Market at Excalibur Ready to Open
The Market is ready to open at the Excalibur Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. This is replacing a gift shop, casino level. It looks nice. The Excalibur is owned by MGM Resorts International.

New Pedestrian Bridge over Strip Update
Construction continues on the new pedestrian bridge over the Las Vegas Strip from Park MGM to the Hard Rock Cafe. This bridge is needed because of the added foot traffic from T-Mobile Arena, Park Theater and nearby casinos. In 2020, they plan construction on four more pedestrian bridges crossing Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, on the far north end of the Strip.
Target being built on the Las Vegas Strip Update
Construction continues on the first Target Department Store being built on the Las Vegas Strip. It is located directly across from Park MGM. This project is moving fast.
