The Monte Carlo is under a major remodel from top to bottom. It will become Park MGM when the remodel is complete in late 2018. The lobby is complete. The Park Theater is complete. Most of the casino is finished. Many rooms have been remodeled. It is currently lacking restaurants. There is a Steakhouse called Bavette’s and Primrose.
All other restaurants, food court and the buffet are gone. The new Starbucks opened and it is next to the Casino High Limit Room. The former Race & Sports Book has been boarded up and it has been replaced with MONEYLINE Sports Bar & Book. Juniper Cocktail Lounge opened on April 20th, 2018.
They also plan to build Little Italy next to Double Barrel Roadhouse in the front of the Casino. It will be called Eataly. The pools are complete with loungers added and lot’s of umbrellas. The pools are open for hotel guests.
Park MGM is owned by MGM Resorts International.

UPDATE 6/25/2018: They added a new entrance to Park MGM from The Park and New York-New York to the casino. It is located next to the Park MGM Theater.
UPDATE 6/30/2018: On The Record is to open on New Years Eve. The former Race & Sports Book will be turned into NOMAD Restaurant and Nightclub.

UPDATE 8/23/2018: The major changes this week are large signs being added for the NoMad brand that will take the top floors of Park MGM. This will be a “Hotel within a Hotel”. Major construction continues on the front of the casino.
UPDATE 9/9/2018: They are fast tracking this project and hope to be done by the December 2018 or January 2019. A current photo of the front of the casino is posted.
UPDATE 9/30/2018: They opened up the front of the casino from the Strip to pedestrian traffic. Current photos are posted below.
UPDATE 10/1/2018: NoMad Hotel Las Vegas will occupy the top four floors of Park MGM. It will open on Friday 10/12/2018.

UPDATE 11/3/2018: Construction is moving quick on the front of Park MGM. They added signs for Eataly. They held a job fair to hire approx 500 people to work at Eataly which should open by the end of 2018. Double Barrel Roadhouse closed.

UPDATE 11/17/2018: A new restaurant called Best Friend is ready to open soon. They will sell liquor, beer, wine,Korean BBQ, food and snacks. A photo is posted below.
UPDATE 11/30/2018: Park MGM opened a new entrance to the casino in the front of the building. Construction continues. Park MGM looks great.
UPDATE 12/7/2018: Construction continues on the front of Park MGM and the restaurants are receiving the final touch-ups. On the Record nightclub will open New Years Eve weekend.
