Vdara Hotel & Spa is a non-gaming and non-smoking condo-hotel located in the ARIA Campus (formerly called CityCenter) on the Las Vegas Strip. It is 2½-miles from Harry Reid International Airport.

It opened on December 1, 2009, in a 57-story tower in a crescent-shaped structure that is formed by three parallel, offset arcs of varying heights.

Vdara is operated by MGM Resorts International, and they are a Marriott Bonvoy Hotel.

They have 1,495 rooms and suites, with studio rooms measuring 582 square-feet and suites measuring 811-1,600 square-feet. All rooms come with a pillow-top mattress, kitchenette, mini-refrigerator, LCD flat-screen TV and spa-style soaking tub.

The Spa at Vdara is 18,000 square-feet on two floors and the pool and deck area is open seasonally and spans 40,000 square-feet. They also have a fitness center and business center.

The dining options include:

CASUAL DINING

  • Pool Restaurant & Bar (American) Open seasonally.
  • VICE VERSA Patio & Lounge (American)

QUICK EATS

  • Market Café Vdara (American) Open 24/7

BARS & LOUNGES

  • Pool Bar (Open seasonally)
  • VICE VERSA Lounge

Tip: Vdara Hotel & Spa is located next to the ARIA, Bellagio and Cosmopolitan resorts, so there are many gaming and dining options available nearby. It is also located near The Shops at Crystals, also in the ARIA Campus.

Vdara has 16,500 square-feet of flexible meeting and event space, including the 3,848 square-foot Viñoly Grand Ballroom.

Fun Fact: When Vdara opened the hotel’s curved design reflected a “death ray” when the sun hit the glass at a certain angle. The building was a giant magnifying glass, sending a hot ray onto the pool area. But the hotel found a simple fix: umbrellas and the glass exterior was covered with non-reflective film. Problem solved.

Fun Fact 2: The hotel’s name (pronounced “vuh-DAH-ruh”) was thought up by the property’s original design-group. The “V” in Vdara stands for “Vegas” and “ara” is meant to evoke established high-end boutique hotels, such as the Aviara or Bacara.

Tip: There is a free tram that runs between Vdara, Bellagio, The Shops at Crystals, ARIA and Park MGM. There is also an indoor walkway from Vdara to Bellagio and The Cosmopolitan. RTC Bus Route: DEUCE
