There are changes taking place at Harrah’s Las Vegas, Park MGM, Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino and Caesars Palace. Photos are posted below.
Last week, Harrah’s Las Vegas started construction on a brand new porte cochere. The former space has been boarded up and signs point guests to a temporary Bell Desk, Valet and Taxi Stand. The new porte cochere should be completed in about 10 weeks.
Park MGM will be adding one or two food trucks to the casino floor. They will be located near the high limit gaming. One food truck will be operated by Roy Choi, the owner of Best Friend at Park MGM and other ventures. The other food truck may serve pizza.
On October 1, Dreamscape will take over operations of the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino from Caesars Entertainment. Construction continues on all rooms in the Ipanema Tower, both hotel towers are being repainted, new slot machines are arriving and the new slot club will be called Rio Rewards. The Rio will keep its name and one hotel tower will become a Hyatt Regency.
Caesars Palace is remodeling all rooms in the Forum Tower. They have boarded up all elevators, except for two during construction.
Arizona Charlie’s Decatur recently opened River Rock Pizza & Pasta.
On Sunday, Planet Hollywood Resort had a large Mariachi Band outside their Caesars Race & Sportsbook and we saw the Russell Stover Chocolates 100th Anniversary car on the Las Vegas Strip.
