Caesars Place is bringing the Lynchburg holiday spirit to Las Vegas with the lighting of a special Barrel Tree by Jack Daniel’s beginning Tuesday, Nov. 15. Located in the Roman Plaza on Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd. (between Gordon Ramsay HELL’S KITCHEN and ABSINTHE’s Spiegeltent), Caesars will host a lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 15 with former Vegas Golden Knights star Deryk Engelland, who will flip the switch that evening. The tree will provide unique and festive photo opportunities, while guests who are 21+ can enjoy holiday cocktails at the outdoor bars surrounding the tree.

The Jack Daniel’s Barrel Tree is a tradition that started in 2011 at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tenn. The Las Vegas Barrel Tree will be seven tiers and constructed from 113 Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey barrels.

Starting Thursday, Dec. 1, barrels from the tree will be available for purchase for $150 with 100 percent of proceeds benefitting Jack Daniel’s Operation Ride Home.

Operation Ride Home is a program in partnership with the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) that assists junior-enlisted service members and families travel from their military bases to see their loved ones. Since 2011, Operation Ride Home has raised more than $2.3 million in donations and helped send more than 10,000 individual service members and families home. Men and women from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard have been assisted with travel to all 50 states.

Jack Daniel’s only uses new charred oak barrels to make its whiskey and they are never filled a second time. The barrels that will be used to build the Barrel Tree were earlier entrusted to mature Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and will now bring another special holiday spirit to friends around the country.
