From Twitter: The #ClarkCounty Commission has approved a resolution to allow taverns to use 7 stand-alone gaming machines instead of bar top machines on a temporary basis during the #COVID19 pandemic. No more than 15 total gaming machines are allowed in any establishment.

The county previously required taverns to have all slot machines be installed in bar tops if there were more than 7 machines on the premises. County commissioners noted the loss of gaming machines could put a financial strain on taverns.

The new resolution now lets taverns to have between 7 and 15 stand-alone machines in operation. It will remain in effect for as long as the governor’s emergency directive is active.

There were several taverns reopening Wednesday, August 5 including Mr. D’s and Dotty’s on Rainbow Blvd.
