The Silver & Gold Sports Bar is now open at the Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino, located less then one mile from the Las Vegas Strip. This rebranded bar was formally called the Sports Bar and the casino is popular with Las Vegas “locals”. It features a William Hill Sports Book and the bar is open 24/7.
The Silver & Gold Sports Bar is named for the Raiders NFL Football team, which is relocating from Oakland, California to Las Vegas in 2020, in a brand new stadium currently under construction. That is the “silver” in the name.
The “gold” in the name is for the Vegas Golden Knights, who are a expansion professional Hockey team that began playing in the NHL 2017/18 season. The Knights made it to the Stanley Cup Finals in their inaugural season, being defeated by the Washington Capitols. The Vegas Golden Knights are the first professional sports team to be based in Las Vegas and they play their home games at the T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip.
During Vegas Golden Knights games the Silver & Gold Sports Bar features some great beer and cocktail specials, and they also have a great Happy Hour. The Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino opened in 1981 as the Continental. It then became Terrible’s in 2000. The hotel has 370 rooms and was rebranded Silver Sevens in 2013. The entire second floor of the casino is now 100% non-smoking. The Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino is owned by Affinity Gaming.
