Block 16 Urban Eatery & Bar opened on Friday August 31st at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. It is located in the former Race & Sportsbook on the second floor. Block 16 is an upscale food hall. They moved the Race & Sports Book to the casino level (first floor) over a year ago.
The name Block 16 comes from an early 20th century neighborhood in downtown Las Vegas known for offering liquor, gambling, dancing and prostitution.
The dining options include, Lardo Sandwich Shop and Pok Pok Wing both from Portland Oregon, District Donuts. Sliders. Brew., from New Orleans, Tekka Bar: Handroll & Sake, Hattie B’s Hot Chicken and Ghost Donkey Bar, from New York City (opening in the Fall).
It is located next to the Marquee Night/Day Club, and across from the Eggslut restaurant. They did a very nice job on these new dining options. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is owned by the Blackstone Group.
