Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is replacing the former Race & Sportsbook on the second floor with an upscale food court, called Block 16 Urban Eatery & Bar.   They moved the Race & Sportsbook to the casino level (first floor) over a year ago.  The space has remained empty since.

The dining options will include, Lardo Sandwich Shop and Pok Pok Wing both from Portland Oregon, District Donuts. Sliders. Brew., from New Orleans and Ghost Donkey Bar, from New York City.

This will be a nice addition.  The Cosmopolitan is one of the only Resorts on the Las Vegas Strip not to have a food court.  It will be located next to the Marquee Night/Day Club, and across from the Eggslut restaurant.  Construction has just started.  It is scheduled to open in the Summer of 2018.

Update 8/24/2018 – The construction walls have been removed and replaced with large curtains blocking Block 16.  Below are some sneak peak photos.   It should open soon.

Update: 7/6/2018 – This project is almost ready to open.  Current photos are added.

This is a developing story.  Check back on VegasChanges.com for updates.
