MGM Grand Resort & Casino is on the “four corners” of the south Las Vegas Strip. It has 5,124 rooms and suites, most were remodeled in 2012. When it opened in 1993, the MGM Grand was the largest hotel complex in the world. The theme is Art Deco / Hollywood, California. They are a Marriott Bonvoy Hotel.
The MGM Resort has several different buildings.
- The main structure is the MGM Grand with 4,293 rooms and 751 suites.
- The Studio Tower (formerly called West Wing) remodeled all 700 guest rooms in late 2022.
- SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand has 51 Lofts and it is rated AAA Five Diamond and a Forbes Five Star Hotel. It occupies the top two floors of the MGM Grand.
- The Mansion at MGM Grand has 29 Villas.
- The Signature at the MGM Grand has 1,728 Condo Units (many are privately owned) and the others are used as hotel units managed by MGM Resorts International.
They have a huge 6.5 acre pool complex with four swimming pools, three whirlpools and a lazy river. Wet Republic Ultra Pool is a Dayclub that is open during pool season.
It has one of the largest casinos in Las Vegas with many new and some older slot machines. They have all the different table games in the casino pits, including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Pai Gow Poker, Baccarat, Let It Ride Poker, Three Card Poker, Crazy “4” Poker, Texas Hold’em, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and more.
The MGM Grand has a non-smoking Poker Room and BetMGM Race & Sports Book, that is small for a casino this size and can get very busy. The MGM Grand is operated by MGM Resorts International and they use the MGM Rewards loyalty card.

The MGM Grand has the Hakkasan Nightclub, which is one of the largest nightclubs in the world. There are many entertainment choices at the MGM Grand, including KÀ by Cirque du Soleil, illusionist David Copperfield, dance troup Jabbawockeez, Tape Face and Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club. It has the MGM Grand Garden Arena that seats 16,800+ people and a very large Convention Center.
The MGM Grand has several attractions, including Virtual Reality Powered by Zero Latency, CBS Television City and more. LEVEL UP features live bands and entertainment nightly, skill based games and more. They also have a Top Golf.
Fun Fact: The Bronze lion outside of the MGM Grand Hotel weighs 50 tons, making it the largest bronze sculpture in the country.
