Wynn Las Vegas is located on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip. It is connected to its sister property Encore.
It replaced the Desert Inn that was open from April 24, 1950 to August 28, 2000. On October 23, 2001, the Desert Inn was imploded to make room for the new Wynn resort that opened on April 25, 2005.
The Wynn and Encore resorts have a combined total of 4,748 rooms and suites. They are both members of Preferred Hotels & Resorts and have earned the AAA five diamond, Mobil five-star, Forbes five-star, Michelin five-star, and other top ratings over the years.
The resorts have over 3.5 acres of high-end pool areas, including one for adults-only European-style bathing and they keep at least one pool open year-round. Both properties have their own spa, fitness center and business center. They also have The Salon at Wynn, barbershop and Hertz car rental.
Both resorts have over 186,000 square-feet of gaming space with over 1,800 of the latest slot and video poker machines. The casino pits have 180 table games including, Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Pai Gow Poker, Baccarat and more.
They have several High Limit Salons, and each property has a Race & Sport Book. Encore has a 28-table Poker Room that is open 24/7 and they both use the Wynn Rewards loyalty card.
The Wynn and Encore Resorts have some great dining options at all price points. Tip: All restaurants offer both vegetarian and vegan menu options.

Wynn Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course that closed in late 2017 and a new redesigned course reopened on October 11, 2019.
Wynn Plaza Shops opened on November 9, 2018. Other shopping options include the Wynn Esplanade and the Encore Esplanade.
They also have the very popular 40,000 square-foot XS nightclub that can accommodate over 3,000 guests, as well as Encore Beach Club that can accommodate 3,500 party goers.
On November 7, 2022, the show Awakening premiered in the totally remodeled Awakening Theater that has 1,600 seats, designed in a 360-degree, in-the-round configuration.
The Encore Theater seats 1,490 guests, with a wide range of performers, popular bands and comedians.
Tip: The Lake of Dreams show takes place each night every 30 minutes starting at dusk until 11:30pm. It is a multimedia experience that blends colorful puppetry, an immersive soundtrack and state-of-the-art sound and lighting to create an unforgettable spectacle on Wynn’s signature water attraction. Fun Fact: The name of the resort was changed from “Le Rêve” to “Wynn Las Vegas” on June 23, 2003.
Fun Fact 2: The Wynn/Encore have the largest casino floor in Las Vegas with over 186,000 square-feet of gaming space.
