Fremont Street Experience to Celebrate Mexican Independence Day

Fremont Street Experience will celebrate Mexican Independence Day with “A Downtown Fiesta” beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15. The free, all-ages, event will feature Latin music across all three stages and authentic food trucks along Third Street.

New to this year’s highly anticipated celebration, Terry Ilous and The Vagabonds will headline with a Latin and flamenco-influenced take on classic rock. Known for their reinvention rather than tribute, their signature Spanish Flamenco sounds earned them two Grammy nominations. Ilous is the founding vocalist of XYZ which sold more than two million albums and former lead singer of Great White which sold more than 10 million albums worldwide.

“Mexican Independence Day is an important celebration for Las Vegas, and we are proud to bring locals and visitors together for a night of live music, food and culture,” said Dana Reynolds, vice president of marketing at Fremont Street Experience. “We created this free event to give our guests even more reason to spend the evening downtown and experience everything Fremont Street Experience has to offer.”

Fremont Street Experience is known for its year-round attraction SlotZilla, value entertainment including its famous Downtown Rocks Concert Series and endless options with surrounding hotel partners making it the perfect destination for visitors, in addition to its Mexican Independence Day festivities.
