Lion Habitat Ranch invites Southern Nevada families and animal lovers to celebrate and support lions during its World Lion Day festivities on Saturday, Aug. 8, and Sunday, Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Guests will receive discounted admission throughout the weekend. Adult tickets are $15 and include one free child’s ticket for ages 14 and younger. Children ages 4 and younger are always admitted free.
The family-friendly celebration will offer educational activities and opportunities to learn more about lions while supporting the animals that call Lion Habitat Ranch home.
World Lion Day activities include:
- A raffle for a chance to win a lion-themed prize pack
- Arts and crafts in the Feast Room with lions Harry and George
- An educational lion scavenger hunt with a small prize upon completion
- Lion feeding and enrichment demonstrations throughout the day
- Opportunities to learn about lion behavior, conservation and care
Proceeds from the celebration will help support the care and enrichment of the lions at Lion Habitat Ranch.
Lion Habitat Ranch is located at 382 Bruner Ave., Henderson, NV 89044. The ranch will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with last admission at 1 p.m.
