Two new restaurants will be opening on the Las Vegas Strip December 26, 2024. Gjelina will open on Restaurant Row at The Venetian Resort & Casino and Havana 1957 will open next to the Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino. Photos are posted below.
Gjelina
From The Venetian: “This Vegas outpost marks the third restaurant location for Gjelina, a SoCal staple renowned nationally for its locally sourced dishes. Gjelina, named after founder by Fran Camaj’s, mother is built on the foundation of family. Gjelina Group creates hospitality experiences delivered from a place of purpose and driven by simplicity.
When the original location opened out of Fran’s apartment on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice Beach in 2008, it set the standard for sustainable restaurant practices and remains the premier case study for sustainable dining today. Since its original Venice Beach location, Gjelina Group has unveiled Gjusta, an all-day cafe named after Camaj’s aunt, followed by Gjusta Goods, Gjelina Grocer and most recently, Gjelina New York City.”

Havana 1957
From Havana 1957: “Havana 1957 is a new chain of Cuban restaurants unlike other traditional Cuban restaurants. It sets itself apart by creating a unique dining experience that allows you to spend Un Dia En La Habana and relive the glory and glamour of old Cuba during the 1950’s.
Each of our five restaurants combines the flavors of authentic Cuban cuisine, classic Cuban music and vintage memorabilia bringing Cuban Nostalgia to each neighborhood.
Havana’s biggest legends and famous prints decorate the restaurant from ceiling to floor, yet one of the most outstanding features of the restaurant is The Mojito Bar.
The Mojito Bar stocks over 120 varieties of rum from around the world. Here, guests can spend their day in Havana sipping a Cuba Libre or our famous Mojito cocktail, while listening to Classic Cuban artists such as Celia Cruz and Benny More.”
