There were several changes taking place this week on the Las Vegas Strip. Construction walls are in place at two restaurants at Paris and the GO Pool at Flamingo has been demolished. Also, Horseshoe opens a  Speakeasy, an update on a new restaurant at Four Seasons and more. Photos are posted below.

Construction walls went up at Café Americano at Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino this past week. They are receiving a major remodel that should take several months. Patio seating overlooking the casino remains open with about two dozen tables and the regular menu remains in place.

Also at Paris Las Vegas, construction continues at Dominique Ansel Marché. It is being built in the former JJ’s Boulangerie space and is scheduled to open this fall. Award-winning pastry chef Dominique Ansel is the inventor of the Cronut and this will be his second Las Vegas location, with the other at Caesars Palace Resort & Casino.

The adult GO Pool at the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino has been demolished to make way for a brand new pool complex. Until the pool season ends, hotel guests can use the Family Pool at Flamingo or the 21+ Influence Pool at The LINQ Hotel + Experience.

As we earlier reported, Dino Safari: A Walk-Thru Adventure at Horseshoe Las Vegas Hotel & Casino permanently closed. Until a new attraction arrives, they have turned the space into a pop-up Speakeasy called The Hall of Prehistoric Monsters, where you can have cocktails with dinosaurs. It is open Friday and Saturday from 8pm to 12am.

Bourbon Steak by Chef Michael Mina was scheduled to open in August at the Four Seasons Hotel at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, but that did not happen. The construction walls are gone, but the opening may not take place until early 2025.

LAVO Italian Restaurant in the Palazzo Resort & Casino hotel lobby has completed a complete remodel and has reopened this week. The restaurant closed June 23 for a refresh to its design and its coastal Italian menu. They are open from 5-10:30pm daily. Their Party Brunch will return from 1-6pm on Saturdays, beginning October 19, and their Endless Brunch from 10am-2:30pm Sundays, will return October 20.

Caesars Palace had a tribute on their marquee that said “Celebrating Gary Selesner”. He was the longest-serving president ever at Caesars Palace and passed away on September 23 at age 71.
