Nevada’s Longest Operating Casino Since 1931 Closes Live Table Gambling

Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino opened 92 years ago, in Henderson, Nevada. The casino was popular with Boulder Dam construction workers who lived in Boulder City, where alcohol and gambling were prohibited. Downtown Las Vegas is 19 miles north on US 93/US 95 and Hoover Dam is 12 miles away.

Two weeks ago, Railroad Pass removed their six-table casino pit that had Blackjack, Craps and Roulette. The casino currently has over 12,000 square-feet of gaming space, with both new and older slot, video poker and other gaming machines. They also have a Sports Book that is run by William Hill.

Their sister property, The Pass Casino, also in Henderson, closed their casino gambling pit in January.

Railroad Pass is a favorite stop for people coming from Arizona, California and Laughlin heading to the Las Vegas Valley. They have great dining options with fantastic deals and some of the friendliest employees you will ever find.

When visiting Railroad Pass, be sure to check out the “Safe Room”. It features a mini-museum with some great artifacts and history about the casino.
