Uniquely Vegas is a series of articles and photos that VegasChanges.com is composing to showcase the many unique and offbeat things to see and do in the Las Vegas Valley, as well as day trips.
On this venture we are visiting Hershey’s Chocolate World at New York-New York Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Is it worth a visit?
The two-story, 13,000 square-foot Hershey’s Chocolate World opened in 2014 in the space that was formerly the Broadway Theatre. It is Hershey’s West Coast flagship store with many souvenirs and gifts only found at this location.
It has over 800 different types of Hershey’s chocolates and candies, including Hershey’s Kisses, Reese’s, Kit Kat, Whoppers, Jolly Rancher and many more. Some candy flavors are very unique and others are limited editions. You can also create and personalize your own Hershey’s chocolate bar wrappers.
They have a large Hershey’s Bake Shoppe with lots of tasty treats, including cookies, brownies, S’mores, milkshakes and more.
The store features two sculptures of the Statue of Liberty. One is made out of almost 800 lbs. of Hershey’s Milk Chocolate and the other is made out of Strawberry Twizzlers.
Is it worth a visit? Yes, if you are into everything Hershey’s. There are many photo-ops inside and outside the store. As an added treat, there is The Chocolate Bar (not run by Hershey’s) in the New York-New York casino that makes some sweet cocktails.
Store Hours: 9am-12am Sun-Thu and 9am-1am Fri & Sat. Official Site
