New York-New York Hotel & Casino opened in 1997 and is located on the “four corners” of the south Las Vegas Strip. They are operated by MGM Resorts International, and they are a Marriott Bonvoy Hotel.
The theme is New York City and the building’s facade is meant to represent New York City as it was in the 1940s.
The hotel has 2,024 rooms and suites that were all remodeled in 2023. The remodel introduced a modern look with “Big Apple Red” and “Taxicab Yellow” accents, designed to mimic New York City loft apartments.
The outdoor pool is open seasonally and is small for a property this size. They also have a fitness center, business center and several stores.
They have 51,000 square-feet of gaming space with 900 slot, keno, and video poker machines. The casino pit, which includes 53 tables, offers all the popular table games such as Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Pai Gow Poker, Mini Baccarat, Let It Ride, Three Card Poker, Texas Hold’em Bonus, Crazy 4 Poker and more.
Additionally, there is High Limit gaming and a BetMGM Race & Sports Book. They use the MGM Rewards loyalty card.

They also have the Bar at Times Square that features dueling pianos nightly and Coyote Ugly that opens at 6pm and has a DJ that starts at 9pm nightly.
They have the very popular Hershey’s Chocolate World store. On the second level, visitors can enjoy the Big Apple Coaster & Arcade. This coaster reaches speeds exceeding 67 mph and includes a 180-degree “heartline” twist and dive maneuver, along with a drop of 203 feet.
New York-New York Hotel & Casino is next to The Park and T-Mobile Arena which holds 20,000 guests and is home to the Vegas Golden Knights NHL hockey team.
The Showroom has 1,170 seats and features the Cirque du Soleil show Mad Apple.
They have over 30,000 square-feet of flexible meeting, event and convention space.
Fun Fact: The Forever stamp featuring the Statue of Liberty, issued by the US Post Office, was meant to depict the iconic monument in New York Harbor; however, it instead illustrates the replica located at New York-New York. This discrepancy arose from a mistake made by the stamp designers.
Fun Fact 2: There was a mural inside the New York-New York casino depicting the original World Trade Center Twin Towers. In 2003 the mural was modified removing the towers.
