J Resort is a casino hotel located in Downtown Reno. It opened in 1970 under the name Sands Regency Casino Hotel. Following extensive renovations exceeding $400 million, it was rebranded as J Resort in June 2023. The property is owned by Jacobs Entertainment, Inc.
The hotel features over 700 rooms and suites in three towers – Aspen, Birch and Cedar. They have some of the largest standard guest rooms in Downtown Reno. All rooms come with pillow top mattresses, floor to ceiling windows, free Wi-Fi and a 50” HDTV. Many rooms also include a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator.
They feature the largest outdoor pool in Downtown Reno, which operates seasonally, along with a fitness center available 24/7 and a gift shop.
They have over 25,000 square-feet of gambling space with the latest slot, keno and video poker machines. The casino pit offers Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Pai Gow Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em.
They have High Limit gaming, a very nice William Hill Sports Book, and they use the J Rewards loyalty card.

J Resort’s Festival Grounds is Reno’s first and only purpose-built venue for music festivals, large-scale live events and more. It can accommodate up to 15,000 guests.
They have over 7,500 square-feet of flexible meeting and event space.
