On Friday, May 26 the Bellagio Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip opened their summer display for 2023, titled “Majesty: The Grandeur of Nature.” It is located in the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden, next to the hotel lobby. Both day an night photos are posted.
The Bellagio Conservatory measures 14,000 square feet and they change the displays five times a year: Lunar New Year, spring, summer, fall and winter. The summer display will remain open until September 9, 2023. The Bellagio Resort has a horticulture staff of 120 that maintain the Botanical Gardens and the entire grounds of Bellagio.
“Majesty: The Grandeur of Nature” Summer Display by the Numbers:
- 20,000 preserved roses make up the flowers held by hands in West Bed
- 15,000 succulents on East Bed succulent wall
- 11,541 potted plants and flowers
- 10,800 purple and white blooming branches on wisteria trees
- 2,000 fresh carnations in pansy flower under hummingbird (30,000 total across the display)
- 2,000 black and white ostrich and rooster feathers on butterflies
- 1,100 pounds of moss
- 80 artists, horticulturists and engineers used to create the summer display
- 28-foot-tall sculpture of the hands of Mother Nature in West Bed
- 23-foot-tall mythological-like figure in North Bed
- 18-foot-tall ethereal goddess in South Bed
- 11 butterflies throughout the display
- 2 hummingbirds
If you visit the Bellagio’s summer display, be sure to also visit the Fountains of Bellagio located in the front of the casino. The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens are open 24 hours a day and are a free attraction. The Bellagio Resort & Casino is operated by MGM Resorts International.
