It is not a good time to become a shuttle bus driver in Las Vegas. Since Covid-19 almost every casino and resort that offered free transportation to/from Harry Reid International Airport and the Las Vegas Strip have discontinued it.

It started at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, prior to covid, permanently discontinuing the three shuttles to Harrah’s, Bally’s and Linq that each ran every 30-minutes. After covid, the free shuttle shutdown took place at almost every property in Las Vegas.

The following free shuttles have been discontinued: California Hotel, Downtown Grand, Fremont Hotel, Gold Coast, Green Valley Ranch, Mardi Gras Hotel, Orleans, Palace Station, Palms, Red Rock Resort, Rio, Sam’s Town, Silver Sevens, Silverton, Suncoast, Tropicana, Trump International and Tuscany.

The following still have free shuttles to the airport: DoubleTree by Hilton, Hampton Inn & Suites, Homewood Suites, La Quinta Inn, M Resort, South Point and Tru by Hilton.

Shuttles weren’t always convenient, but they sure saved you money. A trip from Harry Reid Airport to Red Rock Resort costs $52 or more in a taxi and over $25 in a Uber or Lyft each way.

Don’t forget about the Downtown Loop.  It is a free shuttle servicing attractions in downtown Las Vegas including: Bonneville Transit Center, The Arts District, Pawn Plaza, Fremont East Entertainment District, Mob Museum, Fremont Street Experience, Las Vegas North Premium Outlets, Circa Resort & Casino, STRAT Hotel Casino & SkyPod, Symphony Park and Las Vegas City Hall.

The Downtown Loop operates Sunday-Thursday 11am to 6pm and Friday-Saturday 3-10pm. The Loop runs continuously during operating hours and arrives at each stop every 20 to 30 minutes. Downtown Loop Route Map LINK
