Grand Sierra Resort & Casino is located approximately three miles east of Downtown Reno on 140-acres. It opened on May 3, 1978, as the MGM Grand Reno and has been rebranded several times over the years. In 2006, it was renamed Grand Sierra Resort & Casino and is owned and managed by the Meruelo Group, which also owns the SAHARA Las Vegas. It is one of only four AAA Four Diamond hotels located in northern Nevada.

They have 1,990 rooms and suites on 26 floors. Standard rooms measure 448-558 square-feet and suites measure 791-2,110 square-feet. All rooms come with Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses, upscale linens, free Wi-Fi, a HDTV and a coffee maker.

The property includes two outdoor swimming pools, hot tubs and fire pits. The main pool deck is for all ages, while the Infinity Pool is a VIP experience reserved for guests 21 and older. At least one heated pool remains open year-round.

The Spa at Grand Sierra Resort is open daily and has ten treatment rooms. Additionally, there is a fitness center that is open 24/7, a FedEx Business Center, the Grand Wedding Chapel and several retail shops.

They have 100,000 square-feet of gaming space with over 1,400 slot, keno and video poker machines. The casino pit, which includes 45 tables, offers all the popular games such as Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Pai Gow Tiles, Three Card Poker and more.

Additionally, they offer High Limit gaming, Live Keno and a 7-table Poker Room. The William Hill Race & Sports Book has an impressive 45-foot-wide LED viewing wall capable of displaying up to 32 events simultaneously. They use the Infinity Rewards loyalty card.

Fun Quest features a video arcade, laser tag, bumper cars, carnival midway and additional attractions. They also have an Escape Room with four themes, Grand Bay Driving Range, Sensology Reno, The Dart Side and the Max Action Arena.

Additionally, they have a 50-lane Bowling Center that hosts blacklight bowling on weekend nights, as well as The Ice Rink, which operates seasonally.

LEX Nightclub is renowned for its popular DJs, three bars, an indoor pool and is regarded as the premier nightclub in Reno.

The White Rabbit Theater & Lounge accommodates 300 guests and showcases magic performances along with various other shows. The Grand Theatre serves as an exceptional performing arts venue, hosting events year-round. It has a seating capacity of 2,700 guests.

They have over 200,000 square-feet of meeting, event and convention space, including the 40,500 square-foot Grand Ballroom.

Fun Fact: The Grand Theatre opened in 1978 with “Hello Hollywood, Hello,” which was the longest-running Broadway-style production in Reno. It concluded its run in 1989.
