Grand Sierra Resort & Casino (GSR) is located approximately three miles east of Downtown Reno. It opened on May 3, 1978 as the MGM Grand Reno and it has 1,990 rooms and suites on 26 floors. They also have a RV Park with 178 sites. It is owned and operated by the Meruelo Group, who also own the SAHARA Las Vegas. Both resorts use the Infinity Rewards loyalty card.
They have a very nice fitness center and pool complex with an all-age Resort Pool, 21+ Infinity Pool, Kids Splash area, bar, and Fire Pits. At least one heated pool remains open year round (weather permitting). The Spa at the Grand Sierra Resort is very popular. They have over 200,000 square-feet of meeting/convention space, wedding chapel, FedEx Business Center, several shops and more.
The casino features over 80,000 square-feet of gaming space with over 1,200 new and older slot and video poker machines. The casino pits have 47 tables, with Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Pai Gow Poker, Pai Gow Tiles, Three-Card Poker, Baccarat and more.
They have a High Limit Room, Poker Room and Live Keno. The William Hill Race & Sports Book has over 75 TV screens and a large projection screen.

The Grand Theatre is a great performing arts center with events held throughout the year. It seats 2,700 guests. LEX Nightclub features very popular DJ’s, three bars, an indoor pool and is considered the premier nightclub in Reno. They have a very strict dress code for entry.
Inside GSR, you can visit Fun Quest, the largest arcade in northern Nevada, complete with a laser tag arena, carnival midway, and a massive kids’ play area. They also have a 50-lane Bowling Center, The Ice Rink, Go-Kart Track, Sensology Reno, Escape Room. Ultimate Rush (free-fall attraction) and Grand Sierra Cinema with two screens.
