Statue of Liberty is a Vegas Golden Knights Fan

The Statue of Liberty at the New York-New York Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip is wearing a Vegas Golden Knights sweater again this year.  New York-New York’s replica of the real Statue of Liberty is 150-feet tall and her new sweater took 4 straight days to make, weighs 600 pounds and is 28 feet tall.

They placed the sweater on Lady Liberty on Friday October 12th with a large crane. On the back of the sweater it says Budweiser.

The Vegas Golden Knights are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL) and are the first professional sports team in Las Vegas.  They had their inaugural season in 2017/2018, where they advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals, which they lost to the Washington Capitals in five games.  The Knights became the first team in NHL history to sweep their first playoff series in their inaugural season.

The Vegas Golden Knights are owned by Black Knight Sports & Entertainment. New York-New York Hotel and Casino is owned by MGM Resorts International.  The Golden Knights play home games in the T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip.
