Excalibur Hotel & Casino opened in 1990 and it has 3,981 guest rooms, including 41 suites. It has a Medieval European theme, and it is on the “four corners” of the south Las Vegas Strip.
The guest rooms are located in either the Royal Tower or the Resort Tower and they are a Marriott Bonvoy Hotel.
Excalibur’s pool complex has 30,000 square-feet of deck space with four pools, including a separate pool for guests 18 years of age or older, a water slide, 25-seat whirlpool and 19 cabanas. They also have a fitness center, business center, Avis car rental and many shops.
The casino has 100,000 square-feet of gaming space with some of the latest slot and video poker machines. The casino pit has all the popular table games, including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Texas Hold’em, Three-Card Poker and more.
They have a large non-smoking BetMGM Race & Sports Book and High Limit gaming. The Excalibur is operated by MGM Resorts International, and they use the MGM Rewards loyalty card.

On the second floor, there is the Thunderland Showroom where the shows Thunder from Down Under, The Australian Bee Gees and The Mac King Comedy Magic Show perform.
Underground there is The Fun Dungeon, which is a large arcade and the Tournament of Kings Dinner Show, that is performed in a 900-seat theater-in-the-round arena.
Fun Fact: In 1993, the Excalibur introduced a new attraction featuring a 71-foot animatronic dragon fighting with Merlin in the moat of the castle. The hourly show, which had been awarded the “Worst Attraction” accolade by the Las Vegas Review-Journal twice, was discontinued in 2004.
Fun Fact 2: The Excalibur is the No. 1 purchaser of Cornish Game Hens in the United States. Since June 1990, over 15 million hens have been served in the Tournament of Kings Dinner Show.
