The SAHARA Las Vegas is a hotel and casino on the far north end of the Las Vegas Strip. It was known as the SLS Las Vegas from August 2014 until August 29th, 2019. Prior to that, is was the Sahara Hotel and Casino from 1952 to 2011. It is owned by the Meruelo Group, a Certified Minority-Owned Company. Their slogan is “The Strip Starts Here”.

The SAHARA Las Vegas has 1,720 rooms and suites in three towers, the Alexandria, Blanca and Marra. The Alexandria rooms are rated AAA Four Diamond. They have three pools, the Azilo Ultra Pool that opened on September 4, 2021, family-friendly Retro Pool, and the adult-only Alexandria Pool with European sunbathing (21+). The resort has a fitness center, Amina Spa, convention space, wedding chapel, FedEx business center and shops.

The casino has 60,000 square-feet of gaming space that finished a complete remodel in 2019. It features many of the latest slot machines and the casino pit offers all the popular table games, including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker and more. They have a William Hill Sports Book and a 7-table Poker Room. They use the Infinity Rewards players card, that can also be used at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada (sister property).

The bars and lounges include the CASBAR Lounge that opened in June 2019, Tangier Bar & Lounge that opened in December 2019 and the High Limit Bar & Lounge.

A brand new theater was built on the second floor for the adult male review show Magic Mike Live. The SAHARA Theater seats 743 and features different entertainment acts, including MJ LIVE: Michael Jackson Tribute Concert.

FUN FACT: The 1960 film Ocean’s 11 was filmed at the Sahara.
