Ellis Island Casino revealed the first phase of a $35 million expansion and remodel project this weekend. The all-new gaming space nearly doubles the size of the property’s casino floor.
When completed, it will feature almost 250 slot and video poker machines. The new casino pit, known for low-cost table games, is much larger.
The focal point is a new 25-seat center bar that features a 50-foot-long LED screen with many sporting events being shown. The new Boomer’s Sportsbook has an expanded betting window and kiosk.
A new rooftop bar called The Deck should be open in time for the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix in November. Village Pub & Cafe with their famous steak special, and The Front Yard remain open, and Metro Pizza and Via Focaccia are returning.
Outside they added a bright digital facade that features over 1,200 square feet of LED lights and approximately 1,740,000 pixels.
Just as the new expansion opened, a large portion of the former casino space was closed off for a complete renovation. The entire project should be completed by the end of the year.
