SAHARA Las Vegas has announced the grand opening date for Maroon by Chef Kwame Onwuachi, one of the country’s most anticipated restaurant openings of the year. The Afro-Caribbean steakhouse will debut on Friday, April 24.
Maroon marks Chef Onwuachi’s first West Coast restaurant and introduces a bold new culinary concept to the Las Vegas Strip, blending the traditions of the classic American steakhouse with the vibrant flavors and techniques of the Afro-Caribbean diaspora.
From the moment guests step inside, they are immersed in an energetic, transportive environment featuring island-influenced design elements, the aromas of live-fire cooking and the glow of the restaurant’s custom jerk pit at the heart of the restaurant.
Maroon will celebrate the culture, heritage and fire-driven cooking of the Caribbean through a menu rooted in bold regional flavors, the menu will feature premium steaks, fresh seafood and vibrant sides complemented by signature spice blends, jerk techniques and live-fire preparation. Designed by New York City-based architecture firm Modellus Novus, the venue will feature a sophisticated bar-lounge, a 125-seat main dining room and thoughtfully appointed and intimate private dining spaces.
At SAHARA Las Vegas, Maroon will become more than a restaurant, it will serve as a vibrant gathering place where food, music and culture converge to create an atmosphere worth remembering and returning.
