Las Vegas Changes & Updates This Week – Shows, Restaurants and Bars




There were several changes and updates on the Strip and in the Las Vegas Valley this week. The Formula 1 Grand Prix is over and being torn down and the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR) will be arriving December 5 for 10-days.

The Chippendales Are Moving

The Chippendales are moving from the off-Strip Rio Hotel & Casino to a new home on the Las Vegas Strip. After 23 years at the Rio, the final show will be New Years Eve.

Starting January 14, 2025, the male review show will be moving into the Mat Franco Theatre at the LINQ Hotel, Casino + Experience. Shows will be performed at 9pm Tuesday through Sunday, with an additional show at 11pm Fridays and Saturdays. (21+) Book HERE

MJ LIVE Starts at New Home on the Strip

The award-winning Michael Jackson tribute show, MJ LIVE has moved into a new showroom on the Las Vegas Strip. The show was performed at the now demolished Tropicana Hotel & Casino for several years, and recently at the SAHARA Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.

On November 25, MJ LIVE began performing in the Harrah’s Showroom inside Harrah’s Hotel & Casino. Shows are performed at 7pm daily (select days at 5:30pm). Book HERE

Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Bar Sets Opening Date

Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Bar will open December 2 at 63 CityCenter (Las Vegas Blvd and Harmon Ave), just in time for the National Finals Rodeo (NFR).

The 22,500-square-foot, two-story venue will feature two music stages, 250-seat main dining area, six bars and a outdoor patio. This will be Aldean’s 4th U.S. location and will give Blake Shelton’s Ole Red at the Grand Bazaar Shops at Horseshoe Las Vegas some stiff competition.

They will open at 10am daily and will remain open late Thursdays through Saturdays.

Dominique Ansel Marché Sets Opening Date

Dominique Ansel Marché will open December 6 at Paris Las Vegas. The venue comes from Chef Dominique Ansel, the James Beard Award-winning pastry chef. Along with the Cronut, Ansel is known for creations like The Cookie Shot, Frozen S’more, and Blossoming Hot Chocolate.

This will be his second bakery on the Las Vegas Strip. In a twist from the Caesars Palace Resort & Casino location, Dominique Ansel Marché will offer a new savory selection as part of its Parisian market-inspired menu, including made-to-order buckwheat crêpes, sandwiches and flatbreads.

Dominique Ansel Marché will be open 7am to 11pm daily.

Señor Frogs to Close on the Las Vegas Strip

As first reported by VitalVegas.com, Señor Frogs at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino will serve their last Margarita and Taco Platter on December 31.

They have had the very popular Drag Brunch (Friday to Sunday) for several years. Their last performance will be December 27. (21+) Hopefully they can find a new home for this show.

Señor Frogs has a sister location, Carlos’ n Charlie’s at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino on the Strip that will remain open.

BAD ELF Pop-Up Bar is Now Open for the Holiday Season

Shady Grove Lounge at the Silverton Casino Lodge has once again been transformed into BAD ELF Pop-Up Bar, an over-the-top holiday spectacle. (21+)

“As the story goes, a gang of spirited elves has chosen to add holiday flair to Shady Grove Lounge to make it look a bit more like the North Pole. Throughout the bar, visitors can get into the holiday spirit with string lights, wrapped presents, oversized ornaments, and dozens of elves suspended from the ceiling. A cozy fireplace with a Christmas tree nestled in the corner creates the perfect photo backdrop.”

BAD ELF Pop-Up Bar is open 5pm-11pm Thursday through Sunday until December 29.

Sippin’ Santa Returns to The Sand Dollar Downtown

Plaza Hotel & Casino has brought back Sippin’ Santa to The Sand Dollar Downtown. (21+)
