Uniquely Vegas is a series of articles and photos that VegasChanges.com is composing to showcase the many unique and offbeat things to see and do in the Las Vegas Valley, as well as day trips.
On this venture we are visiting the Shelby Heritage Center, that has been in Las Vegas since 2013. This free attraction is home to over 25 Shelby vehicles and tells the story of Carroll Shelby along with the company he started in 1962.
The 10,400 square-foot Shelby Heritage Center sits adjacent to the 150,000 square-foot Shelby American Manufacturing facility.
They also have Carroll Shelby’s Store which is very large and has the most complete collection of Shelby merchandise, apparel, collectibles and more.
As mentioned above, the self-guided tour is free, but if you are really into unique muscle cars being built in real time, you can take the Custom Shelby Tour. Tours for adults are $59, children (7-11) $49, and under 6 free.
On our visit, we did the self-guided tour because we arrived just after 4pm and the last Custom Shelby Tour had already started.
Is the Shelby Heritage Center worth a visit? Yes. I am not a huge car fan, but I had a great visit. Very cool cars, history and massive gift shop. Did I mention it is free. Official Site
