The Tropicana Las Vegas Hotel & Casino opened in 1957 and it has 1,467 rooms and suites. The entire resort finished a major remodel in 2018. It is a DoubleTree by Hilton and is located on the “four corners” of the South Las Vegas Strip.
The theme is tropical. They have a very nice pool complex that is open seasonally, fitness center, business center and several shops.
There are two hotel towers and bungalow rooms available. The Paradise Tower is directly above the casino and close to the Las Vegas Strip. The Club Tower is about a 7 minute walk from the hotel front desk. The bungalow rooms have balconies and are part of the original resort. They have several different room categories with different room and suite types.
The casino is small compared to other resorts on the Las Vegas Strip. The casino has 671 of the latest slot machines and a 35 table casino pit, including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Pai Gow Poker, Three Card Poker, Mini Baccarat and more. They have a William Hill Sports Book with live betting and a 24/7 kiosk.
Tip: The ceilings are low and there can be issues with smoke in the casino. Be sure to sign up for the Bally Rewards loyalty program called Tropicana Rewards. In September 2022, Bally’s Corporation became the operator of the Tropicana Las Vegas.
[On November 16, 2023 the Major League Baseball owners unanimously approved the Athletics’ relocation to Las Vegas. Their new stadium would be built on 9-acres of the 35-acre Tropicana site on the Las Vegas Strip. Construction is proposed to begin in April 2025 and be completed in January 2028.]

In March 2019 they opened the brand new Trago Lounge that replaced the Tropicana Lounge. They also have Chill’m Bar & Frozen Cocktails located in the casino and Tequila’s In The Desert (open seasonally at the pool).
Weddings by Tropicana offers wedding packages with both indoor and outdoor ceremonies available. They also have the popular Glow Spa & Salon and 100,000 square-feet of convention and meeting space.
The Tropicana Showroom, currently has the shows MJ LIVE: Michael Jackson Tribute Concert and Purple Reign: The Prince Tribute Show.
The Laugh Factory features three new comics weekly. Murray the Magician and Rich Little have their own headlining shows in this venue as well.
