The Nugget Casino Resort is located in Downtown Sparks (a suburb of Reno, Nevada) at the Victorian Square, nestled between the I-80 and the Union Pacific rail yard. It opened on March 17, 1955, originally as a 60-seat coffee shop with a handful of slot machines.
Over the years, it has expanded into a resort with 1,600 rooms and suites in two 29-story towers . They have an indoor atrium pool that is open year-round, fitness center and UPS Business Center.
The casino features over 900 slot and video poker machines. Table games in the casino pit include Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Three Card Poker, Fortune Pai Gow Poker and more.
They also have a Bingo Hall, live Keno and a very nice William Hill Sports Book with dozens of widescreen LCD displays and electronic scoreboards. They use the Nugget Advantage Rewards players club card.

Fun Fact: The Nugget’s primary attraction from 1962 to the late 1990s was Bertha the Elephant, who entertained in the former Circus Room. Bertha died in 1999.
