On Saturday, March 12 the Bellagio Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip opened their Spring display for 2022 titled “Flights of Fancy. It is located in the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden, next to the hotel lobby. Both day and night photos are posted.
The Bellagio Conservatory measures 14,000 square feet and they change the displays five times a year: Lunar New Year, spring, summer, fall and winter. The spring display will remain open until May 14, 2022. The Bellagio Resort has a horticulture staff of 120 that maintain the Botanical Gardens and the entire grounds of Bellagio.
“Flights of Fancy” Spring Display by the Numbers
- 15,000 roses used on the East Bed “Floating on Air” balloon
- 8,700 potted plants in the display
- 8,000 hours it takes to create the spring display
- 1,800 yards of decorative cording used in the display
- 1,400 pounds of the yellow daffodil hot air balloon
- 80 artists, horticulturists and engineers used to create the spring display
- 8 clouds made of baby’s breath and white hydrangeas
- 8 large Aster flowers in the East Bed
- 7 hot air balloons within the display
- 6 Bellagio “B” letters in the display
- 2 giant hummingbirds
- 1 vintage airship in the display
If you visit the Bellagio’s spring display, be sure to also visit the Fountains of Bellagio located in the front of the casino. The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens are open 24 hours a day and are a free attraction. The Bellagio Resort & Casino is operated by MGM Resorts International.
