On Saturday, March 13 the Bellagio Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip opened their spring display for 2021. It is located in the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden. It is titled “Springtime Celebrations Around the World”. Day and night photos are posted below.
The Bellagio Conservatory measures 14,000 square feet and they change the displays five times a year. Winter, Chinese New Year, spring, summer and fall. The spring display will remain open until May 22. The Bellagio Resort has a horticulture staff of 120 that maintain the Botanical Gardens and the entire grounds of Bellagio.
“Springtime Celebrations Around the World” Display By The Numbers:
- 30,000: Flowers and plants on display throughout the exhibit
- 75: Team members involved in the display’s assembly
- 11: Number of hanging butterfly sculptures
- 18 feet x 28 feet: Height and length of the butterfly greenhouse
- More than 100: Live butterflies in the greenhouse
- 12: Cherry blossom trees
- 3: Number of hanging seven-tiered Thai regal umbrellas
- 9,000: Gallons of recirculated water used throughout the display
- 2: Oversized jewel-toned hummingbirds made of botanical materials
- 8: American flags
- 2,000: Dusty Miller plants lining each of the four beds
- 4: Hours of music specially curated for the exhibit
If you visit the Bellagio’s spring display, be sure to also visit the Fountains of Bellagio located in the front of the casino. TIP: The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens are open 24 hours a day and are a free attraction. They are located next to the hotel lobby.
