The Harley Davidson Cafe on the Las Vegas Strip closed on October 30, 2016 after a 19 year run. The building on the corner of Las Vegas Blvd and E. Harmon Ave has remained vacant since.

That has changed, and it is now Tex Mex Tequila Bar & Grill.  It opened on Saturday, April 25. The building has received a new paint job, signage and a complete remodel. VegasChanges.com first reported that it would become a Mexican restaurant in April 2019. Due to the COVID-19 virus shutdown they are only offering delivery or To-Go orders at this time.

This is a prime piece of real estate that includes a large multi-level parking garage.  Several years ago, the area from the former Harley Davidson Cafe, Hawaiian Marketplace, Travel Lodge and more was to be leveled to make way for an Elvis Presley themed Resort and Casino.  It would have featured a 93,000-square-foot casino, retail mall, 1,605-seat showroom, 14 restaurants, 2,900 hotel rooms and 147 condo units. That project never broke ground. The area is owned by Spectrum Group Management, but managed by Chicago-based Urban Retail Properties.
