It opened in 1996 as Players International (a Merv Griffin property). In 2011 it became Virgin River Hotel-Casino-Bingo and in 2025 it was renamed Virgin River Casino & Lodge. It is owned by Mesquite Entertainment, LLC. and they use the Mesquite Journey Rewards loyalty card.
