There were many changes on the Las Vegas Strip and in Downtown Las Vegas over the past week. Here are several of them. Scan down for photos and further information of those changes.

Mayfair Supper Club at the Bellagio Now Open (Menu)

The Mayfair Supper Club opened at the Bellagio Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip on New Year’s Eve. The Bellagio is owned by MGM Resorts International.

Resort Pools Closed and Being Repaired during the off-season

There are many pools closed in Las Vegas during the winter months. Many are being repaired, decks refreshed and pools drained. Below are photos of a few of them.

Allegiant Stadium & Raiders Training Facility Construction Updates

Construction is on-schedule on both facilities. Allegiant Stadium is being built right off the Las Vegas Strip. It will host home games for the Las Vegas Raiders and the UNLV Rebels Football Teams. It will also host concerts, the Las Vegas Bowl and other events when completed.

The Raiders Headquarters and Training Facility is being built in Henderson, Nevada. It is approximately one mile from the M Resort & Casino. The M Resort is the Official Raiders Team Headquarters Hotel.

The Las Vegas Raiders will play their home games at Allegiant Stadium, that is right off the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The Raiders play in the National Football League (NFL) in the AFC West division. The new stadium is called Allegiant Stadium, for the airline that is based in Las Vegas.
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Rebels Football Team will play their home games in Allegiant Stadium that they share with the Las Vegas Raiders. The Rebels formally played at Sam Boyd Stadium.
The Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl is played in late December after Christmas, starting in 2020 in Allegiant Stadium. The game features a team from the Pac-12 Conference vs. a team from either the SEC or Big Ten Conference. Since 1992, the Las Vegas Bowl was played at Sam Boyd Stadium.

The Donny & Marie “wrap” at the Flamingo now half removed

Now that Donny & Marie Osmond “wrapped up” their show at the Flamingo Resort & Casino after a 11 year run, it is time to remove the “wrap” facing the Las Vegas Strip. They are about halfway done.

Caesars Forum (Conference Center) Construction Update

The 550,000 sq. ft. CAESARS FORUM conference center on the Las Vegas Strip is almost completed. It will feature 300,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space and the two largest pillarless ballrooms in the world. It is located with direct access to more than 8,500 hotel rooms at Harrah’s Las Vegas, the LINQ and Flamingo hotels. All three hotels and the Caesars Forum are owned by Caesars Entertainment.

Bellagio Conservatory Transition from Winter to Chinese New Year

The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden on the Las Vegas Strip is switching the display this week from Winter (Christmas) to Chinese New Year. It will reopen on Saturday January 11th. The Bellagio Resort & Casino is owned by MGM Resorts International.

1/6/2020 Bellagio Conservatory change from the winter display to Chinese New Year

The D Hotel & Casino Closes Showroom

The D Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas closed its second floor showroom. The space will be turned into a larger Circa Race & Sports Book. Plans are in place for The D to open the new Race & Sports Book in its old showroom space in time for the NCAA Tournament on March 17.

The shows “Marriage Can Be Murder”, “Adam London’s Laughternoon”, “Friends! The Musical Parody”, “Jokesters Comedy Lineup” and “Defending the Caveman” left the venue on January 5th.

The D Hotel & Casino is owned by Derek and Greg Stevens. John and Shannon Bentham of Ivory Star Productions subleased the showroom from the hotel and operated its box office. About 50 employees, including performers, stagehands and box-office personnel, were displaced.

Target being built on the Las Vegas Strip Update

Construction continues on the first Target Department Store being built on the Las Vegas Strip. It is located directly across from Park MGM. This project is moving fast and should open in late 2020. This will be a gold mine.

Chick-fil-A at Planet Hollywood Construction Update

Chick-fil-A continues construction at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. It will open January 30th. The Chick-fil-A at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas opened on December 2nd.

Why are these locations unique? There are other Chick-fil-A locations that have opened in Nevada over the past two years, but these locations are unique because they are located in casinos.
