Le Café Ile St. Louis CLOSING
Le Café Ile St. Louis at Paris Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip will be closing in early 2020. Cafe Americana will take over the space to be run by V&E Restaurant Group to include French twists on American dishes from executive chef Matt Fresinski.
V&E Restaurant Group also operates Mercato della Pescheria at the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Resort & Casino and Terraza by Café Americano at Caesars Palace Resort & Casino. Paris Las Vegas is owned by Caesars Entertainment.

Chick-fil-A at Planet Hollywood Announces Opening Date
Chick-fil-A has announced an opening date for the location at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. It will open on Thursday, January 30th. The hours will be 10am to 2am. All Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed for business on Sundays, as well as on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. This new Planet Hollywood location will also be closed on those days.
Why is this location unique? There are other Chick-fil-A locations that have opened in Nevada over the past two years, but this location is unique because it will be in a casino.
Many of the company’s values are influenced by the religious beliefs of its late founder, S. Truett Cathy, a devout Southern Baptist, who passed away in 2014. He would have never approved of a Chick-fil-A to be built in a casino resort or even in the State of Nevada.
It is being built in the space that formally had a Pink’s Hot Dogs restaurant. Pink’s Hot Dogs closed in May 2018 and the space has remained empty since. Caesars Entertainment, owner of Planet Hollywood, submitted building plans for a $750,000 Chick-fil-A to be built. Construction started the third week of April.
Slogan: “We Didn’t Invent the Chicken, Just the Chicken Sandwich,” refers to their flagship menu item, the Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich. The first Chick-fil-A opened in 1967 and the company is based in College Park Georgia. They have over 2,200 locations in the USA and Canada, including one at the Golden Nugget Resort & Casino, that opened in December 2019.

Mayfair Supper Club set to open at the Bellagio – New Photos
The Mayfair Supper Club will open at the Bellagio Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip on New Years Eve. The Bellagio is owned by MGM Resorts International.

New York-New York building the Bridge Bash for New Year’s Eve
Construction crews were setting-up the annual Bridge Bash in front of the New York-New York Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. It looks like the Bridge Bash is sold out, but there are other events at New York-New York with tickets still available for New Year’s Eve. New York-New York is owned by MGM Resorts International.

Caesars is slowly getting out of the restaurant business. Le Cafe Il St Louis has been open since Paris opened in 1999. Since 1999, Paris has gotten rid of their own restaurants in favor of celebrity chefs and other restaurant businesses. First to go was Les Artist, then it was Le Provençal, now it’s Le Cafe il St Louis. Caesars has turned Paris into unrecognizable, since Harrah’s took over. It’s a shame that Budweiser Beer Garden is in front of the beautiful facade of the Paris Opera House.
